Yes, I’m brave enough to use a public terminal to update my blog. OOOooohhh scCaaaRRyyyyy…..

I’m at the Apple Store in Montgomery Mall, fresh from Applebees with Meeky for lunch and before that, from church. I have more than a few thoughts floating around in my head….. I’ll probably (Lord willing) get to them during the course of this week. No internet in my room makes it a pain to head around to the library to do anything and life’s been ultra-hectic as of late, so updates have been pushed back (yes, even the main site update…..*sigh*).

• Justin Taylor makes us all drool by posting a link to John Frame’s third editon of his Lordship Series book (the first two are ‘Doctrine of God’ and ‘Doctrine of the Knowledge of God’).
  The 800 page plus tome is available for FREE online here. My suggestion – PRINT IT OUT and read it from first to last page. THEN go support Dr. Frame and buy a copy. Use your printed copy for notes, highlights, etc…..
• Mark Robinson at Reformed Blacks of America posts part II of a series ‘Black and Reformed: So What ?”.

• Fred Butler prepares to trounce the fools over at Undo Jesus with the start of a rebuttal to their ’20 Reasons to Abandon Christianity’ with 20 Ways To Answer A Fool. What amazes me with these so-called ‘freethinkers’ is that they all sound alike…… (how ‘free’ is that ?) and they really don’t offer any real way of life and living…..at least not without borrowing from the Christian worldview. Hmmmm….someone’s supressionism is showing (Romans 1:18).

  Fred also works for Grace To You and was also nice enough to ‘autograph’ the box that contained my copy of MacArthur’s latest book 12 Extraordianary Women. It’s always cool to see some folk from the blogsphere make contact with you in real life.

• Steve Camp adds a new sidebar to his blog called Out of their minds. Check out some of the latest posts.
• Speaking of stuff on Steve’s blog in the side column, Sgt. Mark Seavey confronted Democrat Reps. Jim Moran and John Murtha at a town hall meeting in Arlington, Va., earlier this week “and left the moonbats momentarily speechless” reports Michelle Malkin. Sgt. Seavey slam-dunks these two congressmen in their utter hypocrisy noting that Moran didn’t even bother to send a single word of praise or attend a homecoming event when 200 of his constituents returned from duty in Afghanistan. This video is a must see.
• Both Redeemed and Tim Challies remind us to keep John Piper in prayer, as he has just announced to his church that he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. The good news is that it looks operable and John should be in, out, rested and active in about 6-8 weeks. Read the letter at the link above.
• Mark Lauterbach at Gospel Driven Life comes clean about his past week and some of the sins that he’s had to personally deal with. Very humble. It would be great if all of us could be this honest about ourselves in private (much less in public!).
• Carolyn McCulley posts some thoughts on her final morning in New Orleans helping out the new SGM church in the area. Good and thoughtful read.
• and finally, though it’s a month old, Frank Turk expresses happy jealousy at the fact that I’ll be speaking at the No Other Gods Apologetics Conference in July of this year (2006). As I told Frank – hey, I may be speaking, but your blog is listed as outstanding by Phil Johnson and you’ve got T-shirts. It’s an even trade off.

That should be enough to keep everyone busy for now. I’m off to go home and get some sleep, then beat up on an anti-trinitarian over at ODB and then do some music work on the equipment at home. I may just stop being cheap and dump the $79 and get Mac OS 10.4 and upgrade this evening. We’ll see after I hit ‘submit’.
