I must say, this is the most enjoyable summer I’ve had since I’ve started teaching. I got paid for the whole summer, all my bills are paid, got to meet new people, my house is straight, hung out with new friends, etc…. things are really cool.

I got to hang with the folks on one of the secular boards I frequent (ODB). It was good meeting up with many of them and as people, they definitely are good folk. I have to remember to keep them all in my prayers. I passed on goin’ to the club with them all on Saturday when I drove up to Philly (we all went to Jillians’ and played a few games and such earlier in the day) and drove back home Saturday night.

I posted a few photos in the Visual Thoughts gallery. Matter of fact, as soon as I get a few dozen more pics uploaded, I may just open that gallery up.

My summer’s almost gone, though. Teachers report back on August 15th….two weeks from now. I will be at the school a little before then, getting my classroom ready, but overall, I’ll just be there once school starts. Since I’ll be helping Bowie out, it also looks like I’ll be heading to Six Flags for a day later this month :) That’s my amusement park.

Only thing I seem to have not gotten ‘done’ this year is heading to Colorado or somewhere else.

I may travel with Bowie when they head to Canada. I’ll see. It’ll require me to take two days off from work, if I do.

Well, I’ve got several theological works coming up. I’m speaking at my church on Sept. 18th on Psalm 1 – the same Sunday that Dr. Van Geremen from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School is coming in to speak at our church.

pressure!

Yeah… just have me speak for 10 mins on the same day an internationally recognized OT scholar is speaking. :) It’ll be okay, though. I’m not out to impress, honestly. Just serve and be found faithful where I am.

I’m off to study.

    Hey there
Thanks for the recommendation of Shai Linne you left on Pyromaniac. Really enjoyed ‘Justified’. Any of the Christian rap I’ve listened to here in Ireland has been lightweight and pretty worthless – Shai Linne’s stuff is theological dynamite. Going to check if his stuff is available in the UK.
    Great blog, enjoying the thoughts.

How’s those Psalm 1 notes? Can a brother get some feedback?
