One week left till school resumes.

Don’t think that just because I haven’t blogged in a week, nothing’s going on. There’s so much going on, it would take a whole extra day just to fill you in… and some of it’s ultra-deep and downright scary.

The e-mail keeps piling up.

The NLBH from this past weekend went well.

For those who don’t know what NLBH stands for: Night of the Living BandHeads. A bunch of us HBCU band fans (mostly folks who marched or used to march for bands in the MEAC, SWAC, CIAA or SIAC with a few exceptions) get together, get and watch footage of bands – halftime shows, stand battles (bands playing songs back and forth at each other).

Yes folks, it’s been going on for DECADES before ‘Drumline’.

Tons of food, a buncha people in my small apartment (some drove up to 3 hours to come through!), good footage and jokes for days.

My first real ‘event’ hosted at my place…. and it was a rousing success!

That’s all I’m letting out the bag for now. I’ll eventually get to updating the site (and the update’s gotten smaller and smaller, simply because I don’t have the time to get anything else done).

I need to spend this week preparing for work – especially on Thursday and Friday. I see kids in 2 weeks and everything needs to be on point.
