Thinking back….

I met with my now former pastor on Wednesday and told him that I’m leaving NSBF. So it’s official – I’m semi-churchless now. 😆 Well, not exactly. I am attending G-church – I’m just not officially on the rolls yet. Tony’s already threatened to put me to work immediately – which is good for me. Ministry context is a great place to build new relationships with folks.

Pastor Fuller also mentioned that he sees that my ‘time away’ has worked wonders on me (remember the Tsunami story below ? After it blows over, I’ll tell the whole thing – let’s just say, right now, I’m floating on the ocean and God is raining fresh fruit and I see another 2-3 Islands off in the distance). He says I don’t look bothered, and I look rested. He’s right. I am. And the best thing about it is, I’ve had much more time to focus on the Lord and my walk.

All that said, this weekend was good too.

Busy tryin’ to murder my flesh lately. As Shai Linne would say “What else can I say man ? It’s REAL in the crucible, my life’s a daily funeral, but Christ is still beautiful.” Time has been on my side there. So has 1 Thess. 4:1-8. Thanks for the encouragement, Redeemed.

Man, I’ve GOT to get a photo album attached to this blog. I have so many pics to share and I know they ain’t gonna all squeeze on here. I’m debating on using photobucket.

I visit NYC next weekend. It’ll be good to be out of MD for a change. I think I’m going to start traveling more. I used to when I was younger, but I’ve fallen out of practice.

Speaking of things I used to do when I was younger….

I’ve started drawing again.

and….

I’ve picked up pen and paper again….and the mic.

We’ll see what happens.

I’ve been dialoging back and forth with some Arminian-esque folks over at 5 Loaves, 2 Fishes (yes, I know – fish is already plural…). Of course, most of them are simple folk with no real heavy theological training, so my initial ‘presentation’ was taken as ‘bombastic’. Anyway, I slowed down much…. and then the admin for the site deleted my posts and some other folks… and went through and EDITED some posts from some of the folks on the board (mostly the Calvinists!). What the heck kinda dialogue you gonna have if you’re busy editing what folks say ?

That bothers me. But you know, if it’s your board, you have the right to do with it as you please, since you pay for the server space. Just don’t put it out there like the discussion is ‘open’ and then go in and edit or delete the posts you don’t like or disagree with. I think that’s a bit dishonest… but whatever. Life’s bigger (and the net is bigger) than one site.

Well, here ends my random thoughts. Off to bed in a few. Busy with two IM windows open that I’m jumping between as I type this up.
