Some of you will never know how much the world hates someone who speaks in absolutes if you remain in your Christian huddle. In fact, I’d daresay (in light of the promise of suffering, the whole ‘servant is not above his master’ thing) that if you claim to be a Christian and everybody likes you…. you might not be tellin’ the truth all the time.
The usual. People on boards spending time trying to tear me down.
What’s kinda funny, though, is as I was reading what one person on one board was saying in their effort to insult me continuously and hurt my eFeelings, I got an IM from another person on another board:
her: hey, I wanted to tell you
her: I admire you
her: I know we havent talked much. I just wanted you to know, that I like who you are. Strong minded, independant, and you honestly believe what you believe wholeheartedly
her: you dont back down, or change for anyone
beamanofgod1914: awwww. ![]()
her: so for that you get five stars and candy kisses in my book
her: just wanted you to know that
her: cuz ppl come down on you, and I dont like that
beamanofgod1914: thank you. your timing is perfect.
beamanofgod1914: this means a lot
her: I mean were all different, cant we just love each other for who we are
beamanofgod1914: thank you. your timing is perfect.
beamanofgod1914: this means a lot
her: Im glad
her: ![]()
her: I always wanted to say that
her: Outta all the guys on the board, I like you, **** and **** the most
her: cuz yall are constant
her: Just wanted you to know that

after this talk, I took a break from the computer today. I drove….down to the harbor again.
I have truly forgotten how much I really loved the harbor as a teen. Mind you, the humidity SUCKED…but other than that, it was good with the few cool breezes that came by…the peacefulness (very few knuckleheads present) and seeing the couples here and there sitting, talking or walking. It also gives me a decent workout of sorts, since the walk from Federal Hill to Pier 5 (over PAST the Hard Rock Cafe and ESPN Zone) is probably around a mile to a mile and a half. I get to take in every crazy sight…and every not so crazy sight.
I stood on the bridge coming back from Pier 5’s hotel and watched a spider build a web. It was one of the most AMAZING things I’ve ever seen. So intricate, detailed…. and done so QUICKLY! Even with the 5-10mph wind gusts, this guy was movin’! Apparently, he’d already caught something else and put it in the center of the web for safe keeping while he respun the outer catch strings of the web. Quickly and delicately, he crawled from support line to support line until about 6-7 mins later (and several pedestrians wondering why I was so enthralled with watching a spider build a web) he was done. He crawled back to the center, grabbed his food and went off to the pole near the base of one of the support lines.
Just something good to focus on.
Well, it’s time to stop procrastinating….I have a few dozen things I need to get done this week, so I’m gon’ git ta gittin’. Y’all pray for me on this school thing….

Yeah I took a walk around the Harbor yesterday. I noticed its changed quite a bit since the last time I was down there, yet it was still very much the same. I traveled memory lane yesterday as I walked through the Pavilions and over to Borders. I remember as a kid, the Harbor used to be my favorite spot to walk and think…so much so I would go down there after school almost everyday. 2 thumbs up for the Subway, it was alot cleaner than I remembered, let’s hear it for the MTA!!

This stuck in my head. I hope it bears good fruit.
On another note, I just discovered that the lady (my side) apparently likes Bible quotes. Prolly just a religious thing. I explained to her via an email that the Bible’s message about God, creation, sin and repentance tends to offend people, even citing Scriptural passages in support of it. I haven’t gotten a reply from her yet, but I’m interested in what it will be.
“All the vain things that charm me most, I sacrifice them to His blood.” God help me.
God bless,

Man, I keep leavin’ my camera in the car. I always park on Federal Hill and walk down, so I need to do some panoramic shots and post them here.
The Harbor has changed a lot since we were younger, bro…. much of it still the same, but with the Aquarium expanding and the whole Pier 3 thing (B&N, ESPN Zone, Hard Rock, etc….) along with all the other stuff, just makes it all much better.
Mach… I’ll keep you in prayer on that. That ‘religious thing’ maybe just what you need as an avenue in…..
