I kinda feel for the Caners. They don’t know what they’re getting themselves into… *snicker*

Okay, I’m lying. I don’t have too much sympathy for folk who bash reformed theology from their misunderstandings of it. I personally think they just accepted the debate to save face, since JRW and Ascol both called them out on Ascol’s blog (yikes! 341 comments!) after they proceeded to bash Calvinists.

What kind of ‘Christian’ wants a soteriological system that has man as the final arbiter of whether or not he gets saved or not ?

What utterly stunned me was Caner signing one of his boastful, arrogant posts, “Elected because I selected.”

That says so much. None of it good.

Hey, one good smackdown from JRW may put some humility in these goons.

And yes, I just called the dean of a school I might possibly go to a goon.

    *there goes my acceptance letter…*

The ugliness of the bashing/belittling of Calvinism is unexpected. I’m so whipped by the strawmen arguments and the defamatory and fallacious label of “hyper-Calvinism” for things like not employing the altar call methodology.

It’s absurd that such novel and unfounded practices could be their test of evangelistic fidelity.

Tragic stuff really, but I’m glad to have guys like James White represent.

    Soli Deo gloria!
