Really, I am.

I have a job, a decent apartment, an internet connection, a computer, a laptop, a nice library of books, salvation, fellowship with like-minded believers, I’ve met some really COOL like-minded folk over the past few days, I have TWO houses to visit for thanksgiving, I have an iPod mini, my car is a 2005 with 10000 miles on it, I have so many kids in my band program that I can afford to turn some away who aren’t serious, I have a nice ministry and get the opportunity to serve as a conference speaker once or twice in a year, my principal is happy with the band program, my intellect is pretty keen, I’m creative and somewhat intuitive, I have food in my refrigerator, I can breathe without help, walk just fine, run, step, exercise, I only weigh 198 lbs and I’m losing weight, I’m single but I believe that God will have me married one day soon, I understand the preciousness of time and refuse to waste much of it anymore, my kitchen was remodelled as well as my bathroom, I have two TVs, two DVD players, a nice collection of movies, a nice collection of band tapes, I live walking distance from a supermarket, a wal-mart, three gas stations, I have a digital camera, digital video recorder, my bookshelves for my books only cost me $28 a piece plus the time it took me to put them together, I’ve hit a new creative spot with my rhymes so that the remake of Salvation Anthem will be tight beyond tight, the Lord has cleaned up many areas of my walk lately, I’ve become more disciplined in my walk, I got my reformation study bible for less than 20 bucks, I have so many books in my library I’m running out of space and need another shelf, I have all the necessary equipment to make my own studio at home, almost all my clothes fit me, I’m not stuck in false doctrine and damnable heresy, my hearing works, I have a nice core group of friends and the Lord is doing new things with me daily.

These and a hundred times more things come from the Lord Jesus, who has showered both me and the rest of His kids with ‘every heavenly gift’ (Eph. 1).

And even if I had none of these things, but only had Christ, I’d be a million times better off than the richest, most hedonistic atheist in hollywood.
